A recent medical study found that chlorella helps fight cancer in several ways. First, when taken preemptively, it strengthens the immune system, so our bodies respond properly. Second, because it removes heavy metals and toxins from our body, we are less likely to get environmentally based cancers. CONJUGATED LINOLEIC ACID (CLA): 500 mg CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) from Safflower Seeds, 90 caps
In a recent study feeding rats small amounts of CLA shrank mammary tumors by 45%. Scientists added very small amounts of CLA to breast cancer cells growing in a culture. By the 8th day, the CLA had killed 93% of the cells. And a group of Finnish researchers found that women who consumed the most CLA in their diets had a 60% lower risk of breast cancer than those who consumed the least.CLA is natural fatty acid.
Conjugated linoleic acid is actually a collective term for a family of about 30 isomers of linoleic acid (LA, cis-9, cis-12-octadecadienoic acid).
While its fat fighting and insulin lowering abilities are important, the anti-tumor activity of CLA is of special interest. Many studies both in vivo and in vitro have shown that CLA suppresses the development of cancer at various levels and in different areas of the body at relatively low dietary levels (Lee KW1, Lee HJ, Cho HY, Kim YJ. Crit Rev Food Sci Nutr. 2005;45(2):135-44).
CLA has been shown to decrease skin, liver, and colon cancer in a vast number of animal studies. But the results with breast cancer look most impressive. After animals had received chemically induced breast cancer, CLA not only prevented the disease but was shown to be incorporated into the breast tissue itself. There are increasing numbers of human studies – for example, one from Finland showed that the greater the CLA blood serum levels the less the risk of breast cancer (Aro A, Mannisto S, Salminen I, Ovaskainen ML, Kataja V, Uusitupa M. Nutr Cancer 2000;38:151-157).
In May 2013, Iranian scientists published a study in the journal Integrative Cancer Therapieson the effect of CLA supplementation on inflammation in patients who were receiving chemotherapy treatment for rec tal cancer. They showed that CLA increased inflammation-lowering protein levels, stopped angiogenesis (the growth of new blood vessels needed by tumors) and stopped tumor spread. They even stated that, “It seems that CLA may provide new complementary treatment by reducing tumor invasion and resistance to cancer treatment in patients with rectal cancer.”
CoQ10: 100 mg CoQ10 (Ubiquinone), 60 softgels
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is made naturally by the body. Uniquinone is converted in the body to the circulating form, ubiquinol. CoQ1O is essential for the effective working of mitochondria, or power stations, inside the cell and as such it is found in all human, animal and plant cells. The researchers also reported that all the patients in the study used less pain medicine, had improved quality of life, and did not lose weight during treatment. In another study led by the same researchers, 3 breast cancer patients were given high-dose coenzyme Q10 and followed for 3 to 5 years. The study reported that one patient had complete remission of cancer that had spread to the liver, another had remission of cancer that had spread to the chest wall, and the third had no breast cancer found after surgery.
With melanoma, for example, in a post-surgical 2007 clinical trial using alpha-interferon and CoQ10 with melanoma patients, the group taking the CoQ10 had a 10 fold lower risk of metastases than the placebo group overall, with a 13 fold lower risk in advanced cases of melanoma.
The NCI research proposal also confirms that animal studies have also shown that CoQ10 can fight certain forms of cancer, and laboratory and animal studies have shown CoQ10 can stop certain cancer cells growing.
C0Q1O may work in the mitochondria, with the immune system, and/or as an antioxidant. Research suggests it may help minimize some negative effects of chemotherapy especially on the heart, and it may help in brain tumors specifically.
There is limited research that it can increase survival in prostate cancer patients.
Low blood levels of Co Q10 have been found in cancer patients with myeloma, lymphoma, breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer and pancreatic cancer (NCI)
At the National Cancer Research Institute in Tokyo a research study using rats showed that one group who were supplemented with Co Q10 had significantly less cancer develop than the group not supplementing when both were infected with cancer.

(Turmeric): This spice has been shown to have significant anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory activity. That alone seems enough for certain hospitals in America to consider using it in the treatment of polyps and colon cancer. However new research shows that it can both shrink cancer tumors and inhibit blood supply growth to tumors. It is a powerful antioxidant with liver protective benefits, and outperformed several anti-inflammatory drugs without side-effects in research. Of all the various topics scientists have tackled in regards to the curcumin and disease reversal, cancer (of various types) is one of the most thoroughly researched topics. A 2007 American study that combined curcumin with chemotherapy to treat bowel cancer cells in a laboratory showed that the combined treatment killed more cancer cells than the chemotherapy alone. According to the American Cancer Society, laboratory studies have also shown that curcumin interferes with cancer development, growth, and spread. Researchers have reported that curcumin blocked the formation of cancer-causing enzymes in rodents. Recently, curcumin has received a great deal of focus because of it’s ability to reduce tumor size and kill cancer cells.
ECHINACEA: 420 mg Organic Echinacea Root, Full Spectrum, 90 caps
Echinacea is a proven herb that helps boost the immune system. In cancer, it also seems to help during radiotherapy and chemotherapy and may even help with brain cancers, or brain tumors. In 1999 a paper by M J Verhoef in Neurology volume 52, reported the successful study of echinacea in neurological disease and in brain tumors, and this led scientists to refocus their attentions to cancer.
As an excellent Immune System booster it boosts the immune system directly due to a number of active chemicals like polysaccharides, alkylamides, flavenoids, caffeic acid derivatives, polyacetylenes and essential oils. For example, arabinogalactan, is a very powerful immuno-modulating polysaccharide and is effective in activating macrophages, interleukin and interferon with an increase in T-cell activity. Garlic is a delicious anti-cancer food. It is also a powerful medicinal supplement for cancer. A new study has just found that a chemical in ginger is up to 10,000 times more effective at killing cancer cells than chemotherapy! The study, published in the PLoS journal, found that the chemical 6-shogaol kills cancer stem cells but leaves healthy cells alone. Gingerol, the active ingredient in ginger root, got a great deal of attention, especially in clinical trials, in an attempt to determine its potential to stop or prevent certain cancers. Results from these pharmacological experiments show that ginger might inhibit the growth of tumors in human beings. GREEN COFFEE BEAN, 500 mg Green Coffee Bean Extract (50% Chlorogenic Acid), 60 caps

A June 2014 study in The Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry found that chlorogenic acid showed promise in fighting breast cancer and recommended that it “would be a promising candidate for further evaluation as an antioxidant and anticancer agent.”
A 2009 study published in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistryalso looked at breast cancer cells. Researchers in this study also found that the chlorogenic acid could potentially serve as cancer fighter and have a “chemopreventive” effect.
A January 2015 study published in the Journal of Cellular Oncology showed breast cancer is not the only cancer that appears to be helped by chlorogenic acid. This study looked at the effect of chlorogenic acid on lung cancer cells. That study proposed that chlorogenic acid could “represent a novel therapeutic option for the treatment of (lung) cancer.”
A February 2015 study published in Anti-Cancer Drugsshowed that chlorogenic acid could actually help a cancer patient’s body be more receptive to chemotherapy treatment. That study shows potential in making chemotherapy for liver cancer more effective.
GRAPE SEED EXTRACT: 100mg Grape Seed Extract, standardized to 95% polyphenols, 100 caps
Several studies have shown that the phytochemicals in grape seeds have anti-tumor or strong potential cancer preventative abilities that can be isolated from the seeds themselves. Proanthocyanidins are especially worth noting, as these have been found to stop pancreatic cancer cells from spreading or migrating. One research team at the University of Colorado showed evidence that grape seed extract was effective against colorectal cancer. Extract from grape seed extract induced the death of these types of cancer cells. In fact, the more advanced the cancer cells were, the better the grape seed extracts seemed to work at limiting the growth and survival of cancer cells. Grape seed extract was not only causing the death of cancer cells, but it did not harm healthy cells. The proanthocyanidins in grape seed extract have also been reported to inhibit the creation of new blood vessels and to arrest the growth of colon tumors. Proanthocyanidins accumulate in large amounts in the colon because they are not well absorbed in the stomach. This is good news, as the proanthocyanidins can stop cancer cells more efficiently as they build up in the colon.
GRAVIOLA: 450 mg Graviola leaf extract (Annona muricata), 90 caps
Graviola, also known by the name of its fruit, sour sop, has received a great deal of attention lately because of its promising compounds as possibly being a natural anti-cancer agent. Graviola (Annona muricata) is an evergreen tree that is used as a remedy for coughs, bacterial and parasite infections, herpes, and arthritis.
A great deal of the excitement over this fruit came from a study done in 2012 in Nebraska at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology that showed that sour sop was effective against pancreatic cancer cells. These types of cells are extremely resistant to conventional therapies. By inhibiting several signaling pathways that pancreatic cancer cells use to regulate their survival and metastatic lifecycle, graviola kills these cells when they are unable to complete their normal function. Once they are inhibited in this manner, the rate at which pancreatic cancer cells spread to other organs to make new cancers becomes incredibly slow.
Still another study done in Virginia at Virginia Tech, found that sour sop extracts also stopped the growth of breast cancer cells. Sour sop extract also inhibited the growth of EGFR. You should note that cell mutation result in the overproduction of EGFR has been strongly connected to several cancers.
GREEN TEA EXTRACT: Decaffeinated Green Tea Extract (leaf) standardized to 98% polyphenols (710.5mg), 75% catechins (543.75 mg), 45% epigallocatechin-3P-gallage (EGCG)(326.25 mg), 100 caps
An extract of the main active ingredient in green tea, EGCG, slows blood vessel formation in tumors, reducing the rate at which they can grow and spread. Like resveratrol, green tea extract can also regulate cell division and growth, and cause programmed cell death in DNA-damaged cells. Some of the cancers that green tea can face down include prostate, esophageal, bladder, cervical, pancreatic, ovarian, lymphoma and leukemia. Green tea is also active against human papilloma virus (HPV), a sexually transmitted virus associated with cervical and anal cancer.
Studies clearly show that EGCG and other green tea antioxidants are toxic to cancer cells in laboratory experiments and indicate why health experts are so optimistic about their use in cancer therapies in the near future.
Cancer cells are formed when our body’s cells break free of the normal cycle of growth and death and begin to grow uncontrollably, giving rise to harmful, even life-threatening tumors in different parts of the body. EGCG and other green tea antioxidants act in very specific ways to prevent cancer cells from growing – and are very likely responsible for at least some of the anticancer health benefits of green tea.
In a very promising development, EGCG has been shown to kill many different types of cancer cells in laboratory conditions. One way in which EGCG does this is by triggering the activity of so-called ‘pro-death’ proteins, causing cancer cells to commit ‘suicide.’
In one study, treating breast cancer cells with EGCG led to so many of them dying that the study researchers were able to measure a significant reduction in tumor size. In other words, not only do EGCG and other green tea antioxidants stop cancer cells from growing – they also actively kill them.
When new blood vessels begin to form and grow in a tumor, it is known as angiogenesis. Angiogenesis allows cancer cells to grow faster and spread to other areas of the body by providing them with much-needed nutrients and oxygen. Studies show that EGCG prevents the expression of a so-called growth factor that is necessary for new blood vessels to form and grow. By doing so, EGCG prevents cancer cells from growing rapidly and spreading from one location to another and invading other parts of the body.
In one study, tumors treated with a potent extract of green tea leaves that contains concentrated tea polyphenols (including EGCG) had significantly fewer blood vessels and were noticeably smaller in size.
It’s clear that EGCG and other green tea antioxidants can stop cancer cells from growing, even directly kill them. They also seem to be able to prevent new blood vessels from forming within tumors that help cancer cells to grow rapidly and spread to other parts of the body. EGCG does this by interfering specifically with multiple biological mechanisms in cancer cells – and it appears to do so without affecting normal cells.
LYCOPENE: 10 mg Lycopene (from Natural Tomato Extract)
Scientists at the University of Portsmouth studied lycopene’s ability to slow the growth of breast and prostate cancer by interrupting signal pathways that would normally cause the tumors to grow more. Another study including over 46,000 men showed a significant correlation between high lycopene intake and a reduced risk of prostate cancer. That research, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, specifically noted the consumption of tomato sauce played a critical role in the process.
Similar to its effect on breast and prostate cancer, lycopene also stunts the growth of renal cell carcinoma, the most common type of malignant kidney tumors. This also suggests it has a crucial part in prevention of this cancer.
Another cancer-related treatment use of lycopene is its use against HPV infection, a major cause of uterine cancer. People who supplement their diets with additional lycopene recover faster from this cancer-causing infection than people with low lycopene levels.
MILK THISTLE: 250 mg Milk Thistle Seed Extract (80% Silymarin) + 200 mg Organic Milk Thistle Seed, Full Spectrum, 90 caps
Silymarin is the main active ingredient in milk thistle. Silymarin is both an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and is commonly used as a natural treatment for liver problems. Two studies done recently at the University of Colorado Cancer Center Studies have shown that silibinin, the active ingredient in the seeds from milk thistle plants, has efficacy from both UVB and UVA induced skin cancer and photo-aging. These studies, done in 2012 and 2013, showed the amazing ability of silibinin to selectively kill skin cells mutated by UVA but were nontoxic to healthy skin cells. It also accelerated the repair of UVB damaged noncancerous cells.
Several small studies have looked at whether milk thistle can be used to decrease side effects of cancer treatment.
A randomized clinical trial in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia found that silymarin decreased the side effects of chemotherapy on the liver without harming the cancer treatment.
A randomized clinical trial in men with prostate cancer who had surgery to remove their prostate found that taking silymarin and selenium improved quality of life, lowered cholesterol, and increased the amount of selenium in the blood.
- A randomized clinical trial of 30 patients with head and neck cancer who had radiation therapy found that those who took silymarin for 6 weeks had lower rates of radiation-related mucositis compared to those who did not.
- A nonrandomized observational study in women with breast cancer who had surgery and radiation therapy found that a silymarin-based cream helped prevent patients from having skin rashes from radiation therapy.
A number of clinical trials have studied milk thistle in the treatment of patients with hepatitis, cirrhosis, mushroom poisoning, or bile duct disorders. These trials have used a wide range of doses with mixed results. In a trial of biologic therapy for patients with chronic hepatitis, patients taking silymarin had less symptoms and a better quality of life compared to patients not taking silymarin.
MORINGA OLEIFERA: 500 mg Organic Moringa Leaf, 90 caps
It has previously been reported that cold water-extracts of Moringa oleifera leaf have anticancer activity against various human cancer cell lines, including non-small cell lung cancer. In the present study, the anticancer activity of M. oleifera leaf extracts was investigated in human hepatocellular carcinoma HepG2 cells. By the analysis of apoptotic signals, including the induction of caspase or poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase cleavage, and the Annexin V and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling assays, it was demonstrated that M. oleifera leaf extracts induce the apoptosis of HepG2 cells. In the hollow fiber assay, oral administration of the leaf extracts significantly reduced (44-52%) the proliferation of the HepG2 cells and A549 non-small cell lung cancer cells. These results support the potential of soluble extracts of M. oleifera leaf as orally administered therapeutics for the treatment of human liver and lung cancers.
Another study: In summary, Moringa ML, MLn, Rc, and Ro extracts act as anti-cancer agent by decreasing cell proliferation and exhibiting apoptosis-mediated cell death in liver HepG2, colon HCT 116 and Caco-2, and breast MCF7 cancer cell lines, while Rc extract succeeded to spare healthy BHK-21 cell line with minimal cytotoxic effect. Additionally, low cell survival and high apoptosis were detected upon treatment with the extracts of MLn/ML and Rc/Ro compared to control cells. Finally, our findings provide a growing evidence supporting the promising role of Moringa extracts as anti-cancer candidates and open a new vista for molecular analysis of their actions on the predominant signaling mechanisms responsible for cancer development. Therefore, Moringa extracts may represent a valuable therapeutic approach for aggressive breast, liver, and colorectal carcinomas.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering, the American pillar of cancer treatment, conducted research on the inflammatory effects on cells leading to cancer. Plus, after conversion in the liver to a sulphated form the compound can attack several of the steps in the cancer process even killing cancer cells.
The excitement continued when it was found how resveratrol worked directly as an anti-cancer compound: Resveratrol has been shown to be attacked by an enzyme unique to pre-cancerous and cancer cells – the cytochrome P450 enzyme, CYP 1B1. The converted compound is a toxic substance (piceatannol) which brings about cell death. Resveratrol has been dubbed a pro-drug as a consequence (Br J Cancer, 2002; 86: 774-778).
Over the last decade there have been a number of studies on resveratrol and its abilities to stop the re-growth of cancer stem cells. These cells may well lie at the core of most tumors and there is currently no chermotherapy that can deal with them. However National Cancer Institute researchers showed certain bioactive natural compounds could stop their re-growth.
According to Pandy PR et al (Breast Cancer Res Treat. 2011 Nov 30 (2) 387-98) resveratrol has an anti-tumor effect with various types of cancer, being able to induce cancer cell death (apoptosis) in the cancer stem-like cells through altering the cells´ death coding.
Several studies have confirmed that cancer stem cells can proliferate and self-renew extensively due to their ability to generate anti-cell death and even drug-resistant proteins. Research by Shankar S. Nall D, Tang S-N, Meeker D, Passarini J et all (2011) showed resveratrol inhibits human pancreatic stem cells and concluded resveratrol could be used in the management of pancreatic cancer.
According to the American Association of Cancer Research, resveratrol may be an important agent for prostate cancer treatment (Dept of Urology and Biochemistry, Mayo Clinic, 1999). Resveratrol inhibits androgen action and represses certain androgen genes., so it inhibits androgen-stimulated cell growth and gene expression.
There were other studies showing that resveratrol could work with the immune system to inhibit blood supply to prostate tumors ( Greehey Children´s Cancer Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas)
And for breast cancer too – the New York Medical Collegein Valhalla) published research in 2011 showing resveratrol, and a metabolite triacetyl-resveratrol, can inhibit breast cancer, whether oestrogen positive or negative. (International Journal of Cancer Jan 2011)
QUERCETIN: 500 mg Quercetin, 100 caps
Quercetin is a unique antioxidant that has been shown to have a profound effect on reducing oxidative stress and preventing and reversing cancer cell development. Oxidative stress is a condition characterized by free radical damage within the body that causes cellular instability and chronic inflammation. This state of high oxidative stress is a major player in the formation of cancer cells and other chronic disease states. Controlling oxidative stress with dietary anti-oxidants is a key strategy to prevent disease and optimize quality of life.
Quercetin is a flavonoid phytonutrient that makes up many of the color ranges in fruits and vegetables.1 Flavonoids such as quercetin are very important antioxidants that quench oxidative stress, reduce inflammation, and protect the body from the development of chronic disease and cancer. Quercetin has not only been characterized as an anti-oxidant, but also has anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties which provide health benefits. Quercetin treatment may be a possible therapeutic agent in a treatment protocol for the following cancers:
Leukemia: Quercetin has been shown to inhibit leukemic T-cells from progressing in humans by stopping the phase of the cell cycle in which the cancer would be able to duplicate itself.
Lung Cancer: In one study, the combination of both apple and onion intake was associated with the reduction of lung cancer by up to 50 percent in men and women.
Breast Cancer: The anti-cancer properties of quercetin are believed to be a result of several cancer fighting capabilities. Quercetin may suppress the activity of the mutant P53 gene common in breast cancer, which is also responsible for the progression of tumor growth.
Neuroblastoma: Developing nerve cells can become cancerous in children and infants. Quercetin may prevent toxins from creating oxidative damage to these cells during development which can lead to neuroblastoma.
Colon Carcinoma: High dosage amounts of quercetin have also been shown to limit the cancer cell’s ability to proliferate in the large intestine and cause colon carcinoma.
Ovarian Cancer: A specific nutrient mixture containing quercetin and other nutrients was found to significantly suppress ovarian tumor incidence and growth and lung metastasis.
Endometrial Cancer: Quercetin and isoflavone intake has been associated with a reduced risk of endometrial cancer.9
Some other types of cancer that have been proven in studies to be affected by quercetin include: esophageal, hepatocellular (liver) carcinoma, pancreatic and prostate cancers.
SELENIUM: 200 mcg Selenium(from L-Selenomethionine), 100 caps
The best selenium supplements generally use a form of selenium known as selenomethionine, because this is the most common form found in body tissues. Selenium binds to methionine, a powerful antioxidant and essential amino acid, when it is incorporated into body tissues. About 90% of the selenomethionine we take in is actually absorbed in the intestinal tract.
Studies of selenium levels and large populations over time have found a correlation between people who eat a lot of selenium and a lower risk of some cancers, specifically bladder cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer and some gastrointestinal cancers. More than 100 small animal experiments have shown selenium supplements reduce the number of new tumors, according to a January 2004 review published in the British Journal of Nutrition.
Regions with selenium-rich soil tend to have lower death rates from cancer than areas with low-selenium soil, particularly for cancers of the lung, esophagus, bladder, breast, colon, rectum, pancreas, ovary and cervix, according to the American Cancer Society.
In the study of 1,300 older people, the occurrence of cancer among those who took 200 micrograms of selenium daily for about seven years was reduced by 42 percent compared to those given a placebo. Cancer deaths for those taking the selenium were cut almost in half.
In addition, the men who took selenium had 63 percent fewer prostate cancers, 58 percent fewer colorectal cancers, 46 percent fewer lung cancers and overall 37 percent fewer cancers.
An article in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) by Clark et al. (1996) showed that 200 mcg of supplemental selenium a day reduced overall cancer mortality by 50% in humans compared to a placebo group not receiving supplemental selenium. This 9-year study demonstrated that a low-cost mineral supplement could cut the risk of dying from cancer in half in certain individuals.
The possible scientific explanations for selenium’s anti-cancer effects include: increased antioxidant protection and immune system support, regulation of cell proliferation and apoptosis (programmed cell death), triggering DNA repair in damaged cells, suppression of growth of blood vessels supplying nutrients to the cancer, inhibition of tumor cell invasion.
